Gloucester Harbor by Fern Coppedge

Gloucester Harbor
Fern Coppedge

A leading Pennsylvania Impressionist, her teacher, Henry B. Snell, encouraged Coppedge to visit and paint in Gloucester. Thus we have this gritty depiction of the harbor, with the thick impasto, a hallmark of Coppedge technique.  16″ x 13 1/2″  Oil on canvas, and housed in a gilded Pennsylvania styled frame.
